Description

Carob Powder 60% is a natural plant-based product made from the fruit of the carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua), containing approximately 60% dietary fiber. It is produced by carefully cleaning, roasting, and grinding the pods into a fine, dark brown powder. With its intense cocoa- and coffee-like taste and distinctive aroma, it is used as an ingredient in baked goods, snacks, and beverages, offering a natural alternative to cocoa powder. 

Technical aspects

Carob Powder 60% has a fine particle size (98% < 75 microns) and a specific weight of 550 kg/m³. The product contains ~28% carbohydrates, ~60% fiber, and ≤1.5% fat, with <4% moisture. It is free from allergens and GMOs, complies with EU food safety standards, and is microbiologically safe (no Salmonella, E. coli, or coagulase-positive staphylococci detected). Water solubility ranges from 20–30%, and pH is between 5–6. 

Storage

Shelf life is 18 months from the date of production. Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, to maintain quality.
