Description

Potato flakes are a product obtained from selected, peeled and cooked potatoes, which are then dried and formed into light, loose flakes of irregular shape. They are produced without the addition of gluten and are GMO-free. They have a light cream colour and a natural, characteristic potato taste and aroma, without any foreign flavours.

Potato flakes for mashed potatoes are intended for food use and are widely used as a quick base ingredient or additive in the production of ready meals, frozen foods, snacks, soups and stuffings. Thanks to their convenient form and high sensory quality, they are valued in both industry and catering.

Technical aspects

Potato flakes are a light, dry flaked product with a variety of shapes and particle sizes. They are characterised by a consistency typical of mashed potatoes, good solubility and water-binding capacity.

Application

Potato flakes are widely used in the production of instant foods as a base ingredient for purées, ready meals, casseroles, croquettes and gnocchi. Thanks to their texture and functionality, they are also popular in meat, bakery and delicatessen processing as a moisture and structure carrier.

Due to their low moisture content, convenient dosing and natural flavour profile, dried potato flakes are an ideal component in recipes for dehydrated products, soups and vegetable preserves, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free foods.

Storage

Store in a dry and cool place, at a temperature not exceeding 20°C and at a relative humidity of up to 75%. Avoid sunlight, strong odours and sources of heat. Once opened, it is recommended to close the package tightly and use the product quickly.

Package

The product is packed in paper bags with a PE insert, weighing 10 kg, or in big bags, ensuring protection against moisture and contamination. The packaging is adapted to the requirements of industrial transport and long-term storage.
