Description

Magnesium oxide (MgO) is an active mineral compound obtained by roasting natural raw materials. The product is distinguished by its high magnesium oxide content (min. 73%) and the presence of additional minerals such as CaO, SiO₂ and Fe₂O₃. It comes in the form of light brown granules with a grain size of 0.0–0.5 mm.

Thanks to its chemical properties, it is widely used in agriculture and industry. In agriculture, it improves soil quality and is a source of easily absorbable magnesium, while in the chemical industry it serves as a versatile technological raw material.

Technical aspects

Magnesium oxide has a loose structure and a uniform light brown colour. The product is stable when stored in dry and cool conditions.

Parameter Value
MgO min. 73%
CaO max. 5.5%
SiO₂ max. 0.6%
Fe₂O₃ max. 7.5%
LOI (Loss on ignition) approx. 20%
Granulation 0.0–0.5 mm
Colour Light brown
Appearance Loose granules

Application

In agriculture and fertiliser production, magnesium oxide is used as a source of magnesium, which improves soil condition and supports plant growth. Thanks to its high concentration of minerals, it helps to optimise crop yields and quality.

In the chemical industry, MgO is used as a raw material in technological processes and in the production of various chemicals. It can also be used in mineral mixtures and as a component of industrial additives.

Storage

Produkt zachowuje swoje właściwości w przypadku przechowywania w oryginalnym opakowaniu, w suchym i chłodnym miejscu, chronionym przed wilgocią.

Package

FDCM offers magnesium oxide in 25 kg bags.
