Description

Urea is an inorganic chemical compound naturally occurring in the nitrogen cycle and widely used as a key industrial raw material. It is supplied in the form of solid white prills with a uniform structure and stable physical properties. Due to its high nitrogen content, urea is valued as an efficient source of nitrogen in various industrial and agricultural applications.

Technical aspects

Thanks to its consistent quality parameters, controlled moisture level and good handling properties, urea is suitable for bulk processing, storage and transport.

Parameter Value
Consistency Solid white prill
Chemical formula CO(NH₂)₂
Total nitrogen 46.5%
Biuret 0.85 – 0.95%
Equivalent crude protein 290.63%
Moisture 0.2 – 0.3%
Bulk density (loose, ISO 3944) 730 g/l
Bulk density (tapped, ISO 5311) 755 g/l
Prill size (size guide number) 160 – 180

Application

Urea is widely used in industrial and feed-related sectors, including:

  • nitrogen source in industrial processes,
  • feed applications as a non-protein nitrogen source,
  • chemical synthesis and processing,
  • production of resins and adhesives,
  • other applications requiring high nitrogen content.

Storage

Urea should be stored at a temperature of 10-30°C, under conditions that are as stable as possible. The product must be protected from moisture to prevent caking and degradation of physical properties.
