Description

Modified corn starch is a product obtained from corn, which undergoes special processing to increase its volume and form a gel when heated. It is characterised by a white or creamy white colour and a neutral taste and odour.

The product is a free-flowing powder with a uniform structure. Thanks to its technological properties, it is a valued ingredient in the food industry, especially in recipes requiring thickening and the addition of the right consistency in heat treatment processes.

Application

Modified corn starch is used in the food industry as a thickener, stabiliser and carrier in soups, sauces, fillings, desserts, puddings, bread, dairy products and confectionery. It facilitates the achievement of the desired consistency during cooking.

Corn gelatinising starch is valued in recipes requiring heat treatment, where it affects the structure, viscosity and shelf life of finished products.

Storage

Modified corn starch should be stored in a dry, clean and well-ventilated place, at room temperature and humidity below 70%, away from foreign odours.
