Trisodium citrate E331 is the sodium salt of citric acid, available in the form of white or colourless crystals. It has a salty taste and is odourless, making it easy to combine with various food recipes.

Trisodium citrate is distinguished by its chemical stability and high purity. The product is highly soluble in water and has an alkaline pH, making it a useful technological additive in many food production processes.

Application

E331 is used in the food industry as an acidity regulator, stabiliser and emulsifier. It is added to beverages, desserts, confectionery, dairy products, sauces and fruit and vegetable preparations.
