Description

Native corn starch is a fine powder ranging in colour from white to light yellow. It is odourless, has a characteristic mild taste and easily absorbs other odours from the environment. This raw material is obtained from corn by wet grinding, and its main component is carbohydrate – D-glucose, which occurs in the form of a polymer.

Natural corn starch is used in many industries due to its purity and physicochemical properties. It is also known as raw corn starch, pure corn starch or corn starch powder.

Application

Raw corn starch is widely used as a universal ingredient in many industries. Thanks to its purity, natural origin and neutral taste, it is a versatile raw material for further processing. Its absorption properties and ability to form suspensions and gels make it suitable for use in technologies requiring stabilisation, thickening or binding of ingredients.

Pure corn starch is used, among other things, in the production of industrial raw materials, as a technological component in processing, and as a carrier for other substances. Thanks to its easy convertibility (e.g. into sugars, ethanol or modified forms of starch), this product is valued in applications requiring high quality and stability of raw materials.

Storage

Native corn starch should be stored in dry, well-ventilated areas, away from chemicals and strong-smelling materials. Protect from moisture and unwanted aromas, which the product easily absorbs.
