Description

Synthetic rubber SBS (Luprene® LG501) is a high-performance thermoplastic elastomer based on a styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer. This product is characterised by excellent elasticity, abrasion resistance and very good processability, making it a versatile material for many industrial applications.

Synthetic SBS rubber is available in the form of porous granules, powder and fine powder. It does not contain oils, has high purity and low volatile content. Thanks to its linear structure, it ensures stable physical properties and is ideal for formulations for the plastics, adhesives and road surface industries.

Aspects techniques

Luprene LG501 is a linear SBS elastomer with moderate hardness and low volatility, characterised by a high styrene content. The product exhibits excellent mechanical properties and flexibility over a wide temperature range.

Application

Synthetic rubber SBS Luprene® LG501 is used in adhesive and sealant formulations, where it provides elasticity, consistency and mechanical resistance. Its ability to improve the properties of asphalt makes it a popular component in road surfaces with increased durability.

As an SBS copolymer, it is also used in the processing of plastics and rubber compounds to improve the elasticity, crack resistance and user comfort of the final products. Its versatility and ease of processing make it a material with a wide range of industrial applications.

Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Protect from moisture and volatile chemical compounds.
