Description

Acid whey powder, also known as sour whey powder, is a product obtained from liquid whey, a by-product of cottage cheese production. It is a free-flowing, homogeneous powder ranging in colour from white to light yellow. It is characterised by a clean, natural aroma and typical taste, without any foreign notes.

The product is distinguished by its high microbiological purity and stable physicochemical properties. It is a functional ingredient widely used in the food industry due to its high lactose content and favourable nutritional profile.

Application

Sour whey powder is widely used in the production of bread, milk desserts, ice cream, sauces, and as an enriching ingredient in baby food and animal feed. Due to its natural origin and chemical composition, it improves the structure and taste of finished products.

The high lactose content contributes to the natural sweetness of the product and supports fermentation processes, making it particularly valued in bakery, dairy and feed recipes.

Storage

The product should be stored in a clean, cool place, preferably at a temperature below 20°C and at a relative humidity not exceeding 75%. Ensure good ventilation of the room and protect the product from odours, pests and moisture. It is recommended to keep the product in its original bags, away from walls.

Sour whey powder is available in sturdy bags with a minimum weight of 25 kg. Industrial packaging ensures safe transport and storage conditions and facilitates the use of the product on a larger scale.
