Description

Sweet whey powder is a soluble milk product obtained from pasteurised sweet whey by spray drying. It comes in the form of a homogeneous, free-flowing powder with a creamy yellow colour. It is characterised by a delicate, slightly sweet and salty taste and a pleasant, natural aroma, free from foreign notes.

Whey powder of this type contains a minimum of 65% lactose and at least 11% protein, which makes it both a technological additive and a source of nutrients. Thanks to its neutral profile and high solubility, the product is widely used in the food industry, especially in baking, dairy products, confectionery and animal feed production.

Technical aspects

Instant sweet whey is a creamy yellow powder, easily soluble and with a uniform structure. Small, easily disintegrating lumps are acceptable. The product has high microbiological purity and physical and chemical stability.

Application

Edible whey powder is used in the production of ice cream, yoghurt, processed cheese, baked goods, confectionery, nutritional supplements and dietetic foods. Thanks to its high lactose content and light structure, it is also an ingredient in milk replacers for animals. It can be used as a sweetener, natural flavour enhancer, flavour carrier or as an economical functional component to improve the texture and solubility of finished products.

Sweet whey powder for feed is widely used as a feed component for young animals, especially piglets and calves. It provides easily digestible energy in the form of lactose and whey proteins with high biological value. It supports the development of intestinal microflora, improves feed palatability and promotes growth and immunity, especially during weaning and intensive growth.

Storage

The product should be stored in a clean, dry warehouse at a temperature of up to 25°C and relative humidity of max. 85%.
