Description

L-valine is an essential amino acid belonging, along with leucine and isoleucine, to the group of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA). The product is available as a white, crystalline powder with a neutral taste and odourless character, making it easy to combine with other feed ingredients.

The amino acid valine is particularly important in the nutrition of pigs and poultry, as it becomes a limiting amino acid in a protein-deficient diet. The addition of L-valine to feed supports optimal animal development and allows for the effective use of modern feed formulations.

Application

L-valine is used in the feed sector as a key ingredient in mixtures for pigs, poultry and other farm animals. The addition of valine helps balance low-protein diets, supports muscle growth and improves feeding efficiency.

The amino acid valine is also used in premixes and mineral-vitamin mixtures, where it is responsible for supplementing the BCAA level in the animal diet. Its presence promotes the utilisation of the genetic potential of modern breeds and also contributes to the reduction of nitrogen emissions.

Storage

The amino acid valine remains stable for at least 2 years if stored in a dry, cool and shaded place, in a tightly closed container, away from sources of heat and moisture.
