Description

Monocalcium Phosphate (feed grade) is a mineral feed material listed in the Catalogue of Feed Materials under Commission Regulation (EU) No 68/2013. It is an inorganic compound of phosphorus and calcium used as a source of these elements in animal nutrition.

Monocalcium phosphate occurs as an odourless white to greyish-white powder or granulate. It is characterised by high solubility in citric acid and water, stability and a uniform structure, which facilitates its dosing and incorporation into feed mixtures.

Application

Monocalcium phosphate is used in the feed sector as a mineral feed material in mixtures for poultry, pigs, cattle and other farm animal species. It provides phosphorus and calcium in a soluble form, supplementing the content of these elements in the formulation.

Feed-grade monocalcium phosphate is also used in mineral-vitamin premixes and finished compound feeds, where it serves to balance the phosphorus and calcium content in the mineral composition of the feed.

Storage

Monocalcium phosphate should be stored in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place, in its original packaging, away from moisture and the risk of contamination by other products.
