Description

Erythritol is a natural sugar alcohol used as a low-calorie sugar substitute. It occurs as a white or almost white crystalline powder with a sweet taste and neutral odour. It is thermally stable, highly soluble in water and completely safe for health.

Due to its almost zero calorie content and lack of effect on blood glucose levels, erythritol is very popular among manufacturers of functional, sugar-free and low-calorie foods. Its delicate sweetness makes it an ideal addition to beverages, sweets, baked goods and dietary supplements.
