Type I fish collagen peptides are a natural ingredient obtained through the hydrolysis of gelatin from fish skin. The product is available in powder or granule form, is easily soluble in water and has a neutral taste and odour. It contains over 94% protein on a dry weight basis and as many as 18 amino acids, including 7 essential amino acids such as lysine, leucine and methionine.

Fish collagen is characterised by a low molecular weight (1000–3000 Da), which makes it highly bioavailable and easily digestible. It does not contain GMOs, allergens or preservatives, and its microbiological parameters and purity meet high safety standards. It is an excellent ingredient in functional foods, dietary supplements and cosmetics.
