Roasted kataifi dough is mainly used in confectionery – for preparing traditional desserts such as baklava or kataifi with nuts and syrup. Thanks to its structure, it is also an interesting decorative element in modern desserts.
It can also be used in savoury dishes, e.g. to wrap seafood, cheese or vegetables, giving them a crunchy texture and attractive appearance. In addition, it is a popular ingredient in modern creations, including as a layer added to ‘Dubai chocolate’, where it is responsible for the characteristic crunchy effect.
